MC bought me a swell gift for Christmas – the Flip Mino HD – a tiny wonder that delivers on the promise of high quality video in a small package. The only real issue I have with it is that being so small, it is difficult to keep steady. Perhaps with time and practice I’ll [...]

My brother Robert calls in from his basement, where he was on flood watch, on the lookout for mysterious bubbling spring water emerging out of the ground. We reminisce about being “on the job” with the Vacaville Fire Department and look at photographs from his brief visit to Obama, Japan.
Another day, another niece… you see I have a lot of them – nephews, too! Sara was eager to be interviewed after seeing her cousin Paloma on yesterday. We talk about the Phillies, gymnastics, webkinz, buildabearville and of course, the election!
Next up, my niece Paloma, who spent Tuesday night at Obama HQ in Sacramento with her mom counting electoral votes, dressed up at school recently as Thelma from Scooby Doo, thinks gay people are “just gay people”, and wants everyone to know that “Lice are going around!”.
It’s Obama-elect+1 day here and I’m hanging out with my cat Justine. I also let you know who I hope my next guest will be!
It’s election day, and I manage to catch my dad and my brother Larry for a few minutes of chat on the state of the world… this is a few hours pre-Obama victory, so we weren’t quite ready to call it yet…
I convince my cousin to track down a computer with a working webcam so we can talk about surf photography and the election. We also have a surprise visit by a certain presidential candidate!
